Medan (ANTARA) – Yili Indonesia, a subsidiary of the Yili Group, Asia’s largest dairy product producer, received a Special Achievement award at the 2022 Bisnis Indonesia Corporate Social Responsibility Award (BISRA), held in Jakarta on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

Yili Indonesia, which produces Joyday Ice Cream, was named the Most Collaborative Food and Beverage Company in Accelerating Vaccination & Covid-19 Response.
The award, received directly by Yu Miao, the Management Representative of Yili Group and President Director of Yili Indonesia Dairy, demonstrates Yili’s consistent and ongoing commitment to supporting the Indonesian Government in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic through various programs and activities under the theme “Saving Lives, Helping Children, and Returning to Growth: A Road to Stronger Recovery, Together with Yili Group.”

Various activities carried out by the company during the pandemic include accelerating vaccinations for thousands of children around the company’s production areas and in various cities in West Java.

The success of this accelerated vaccination drive for children was also supported by the distribution of more than 500,000 free ice cream cones to vaccinated children and healthcare workers supporting the vaccination program.

Yili Indonesia also distributed over 100,000 medical masks, as well as thousands of gloves and hazmat suits to healthcare workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 response. Yili Indonesia also distributed medical equipment. portable handwashing stations to five hospitals in Jakarta and empowering MSMEs to produce masks and distribute them to the community.

To support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Yili Indonesia distributed dozens of bicycles to MSMEs.

Furthermore, the company also provided two months of electricity subsidies and food freezers to MSMEs in 41 cities across Indonesia.

The BISRA Award is held to identify companies with CSR programs that are committed (embedded), feasible, have an effective impact on program recipients, are measurable in terms of Social Return on Investment, and have inclusive and sustainable programs.

The 2022 BISRA Jury includes Dr. Vivi Yulaswati, Expert Staff for Social Affairs and Poverty Alleviation at Bappenas/Head of the National Secretariat for SDGs; Susanto Samsudin, National Director of Habitat for Humanity Indonesia; and Maria Y. Benyamin, Editor-in-Chief of Bisnis Indonesia.
