In the spirit of sharing and caring during the holy month of Ramadan, PT YILI Indonesia Dairy, through its flagship brand, Joyday ice cream, has implemented a series of program initiatives aimed at making a positive contribution to Indonesian society. Yili’s social programs are the result of positive collaboration between the company and community stakeholders, such as the Indonesian Childhood Cancer Foundation (YKAI), the Jakarta CSR Forum, the Indonesian Catering Services Procurement Association (PPJI), and the Sukamukti Village apparatus in Cikarang, to address the social dynamics occurring in the community.
Yu Miao, President Director of PT Yili Indonesia Dairy, stated that Yili Indonesia Dairy is actively providing community care through several programs.
“We are collaborating with the Indonesian Childhood Cancer Foundation to care for children with cancer in Indonesia, distributing free Joy ice cream to pediatric patients and medical staff, and calling on all levels of society to raise awareness of childhood cancer,” Yu Miao said in a written statement on Friday (April 5, 2024).
He added that Yili Indonesia is committed to consistently providing a positive and tangible social impact on the community, especially children.
“Previously, the company supported World Children’s Cancer Day commemorations in Jakarta and various other cities and played an active role in providing relief aid to victims of landslides in the Bojongmangu, Sukamukti, and Cikarang areas,” he added.
The Chairperson of the Indonesian Children’s Cancer Foundation, Sallyana Sorongan, said, “We express our gratitude for Yili’s continued attention and support for children with cancer. We hope that this kind of collaboration will increase public awareness and concern for children’s health. We also hope that more companies will actively participate in efforts to provide the best for children’s health, especially in cancer.”
For your information, the Yili Group has invested more than IDR 2 trillion in Indonesia since 2021. With this investment, the company is not only able to produce ice cream for domestic needs but has also exported to 16 countries.

“In the process of developing its international business, Yili consistently strives to fulfill its corporate social responsibility. Currently, Yili has implemented more than 30 welfare and social care activities in Indonesia, with a cumulative number of beneficiaries reaching one million. We strive to contribute to society with love and warmth for the Indonesian people.
