Jakarta – Yili Inner Mongolia, through its Indonesian subsidiary, PT Green Asia Food Indonesia, the producer of Joyday ice cream, has donated essential medical supplies. This assistance was handed over through the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) to medical personnel.
“This donation is a token of our appreciation for the professional medical personnel, true heroes and frontline warriors who are selflessly caring for patients during this difficult time,” said Yu Miao, a representative of PT Green Asia Food Indonesia’s management, in a written statement.
Yu Miao handed over the Joyday ice cream donation to help with the COVID-19 response to Ferdi Alfarizka, an expert staff member at the Presidential Staff Office.
Yu added that his office deeply appreciates and thanks all parties, both the government and professional medical personnel, who have relentlessly fought to prevent COVID-19 from spreading further in Indonesia. He believes that all elements of the nation need to work together as one nation, and he encourages the public to comply with the government’s appeal to #StayAtHome and maintain social distancing.
The aid provided included 100,000 surgical masks, 2,000 protective goggles, and 2,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The supplies were sent to the Presidential Staff Office, which will then be distributed by the Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the national task force, to several hospitals handling COVID-19 in Indonesia.
Gerry Mustika, Vice President Director of PT Green Asia Food Indonesia, stated that this donation is part of Yili’s global initiative to assist areas impacted by COVID-19.
“It also demonstrates Yili’s commitment to supporting the government and all parties involved in combating this pandemic,” Gerry continued.
In addition to providing donations, Joyday Ice Cream is also promoting the #JoyDiRumah campaign on social media to support the #StayAtHome movement, encouraging consumers to spend their days at home.
