Jakarta (ANTARA) – Yili Group, the owner of the Joyday ice cream brand, distributed basic food packages and ice cream to 500 families in Jembatan Besi Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta, on Saturday. This was done to alleviate the economic hardship of residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“We chose basic food packages and ice cream because they meet the daily food needs of residents in Jembatan Besi Village, Tambora District,” said a Yili management representative.
Joyday ice cream is made from selected, nutritious milk. It is hoped that by consuming Joyday ice cream, residents of Jembatan Besi Village, Tambora District, can meet their nutritional needs during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Furthermore, the philosophy of Joyday ice cream, distributed by PT. Green Asia Food Indonesia, is happiness. “We want to share happiness with every bite of ice cream. This will encourage people to get through this Covid-19 pandemic,” she explained.
Hapsah, a local resident, expressed her joy in receiving the basic food packages and ice cream. “This package is very helpful for us. My grandson especially loves ice cream,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Asim Mujih, Secretary of Jembatan Besi Village, expressed his gratitude to Yili Group for the assistance. He hopes the food and ice cream packages will boost the spirits of his residents as they get through these difficult days.
“We are very grateful for the assistance. This will certainly increase the happiness of the residents,” said Asim, representing Jembatan Besi Village.
